Requirements to become a member of Highland Rescue Team are:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Currently certified as a First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT- Paramedic
OR
Currently enrolled in an EMT-Basic Training Program
3. Current CPR certification
4. Current ACLS certification (EMT-Intermediate &Paramedic)
5. Residence within response district desired
Prospective members are required to complete the following:
1. Complete a membership application (including copies of current certifications)
2. Attend an entrance interview
3. Complete assigned rides prior to orientation period
4. Serve a 6 month orientation period (requiring completion of an orientation checklist)
5. Be voted onto active membership by a majority of the Team.
